Custom Kings return with a brand new album ‘Great Escape’. The new album saw the band stepping out of the "bedroom" and into the legendary Sing Sing studios for a two-week recording session, working with long-time collaborator and producer Steven Schram (Little Birdy, Little Red). ‘Great Escape’ showcases a burgeoning ‘Kings sound that will treat fans to more sublime musical journeys and intelligent, whimsical story telling but also some more driving moments that channel late 60’s/early 70’s California and early 90’s US indie pop.

In the first months of 2009, The Devil Wears Prada entered the studio with producer Joey Sturgis to record their third full length album and Ferret Music debut, ‘With Roots and Above Branches Below’. The Devil Wears Prada’s music is possessed of equal parts slithering metal riffage meshed with plush rock passages, peppered with a barrage of synth sounds and harsh to melodic vocals. Alternative Press regarded the album one of the most anticipated albums of 2009. Now, after a Headline US tour, tour dates in Russia and a spot on the Warped Tour, The Devil Wears Prada comes to Australia in support of Parkway Drive and play the Corner Hotel for their only headline Melbourne show.

The first weekend in October is sacred for the people of NSW, for it is the weekend of the final rugby league clash of the year, the weekend where the strongest of the strong face up against each other in a pummel to the end, in a majestic battle to decide... f**k this, we’re going to Melbourne. Look, if we’re going to have to watch a bunch of half-cut musclemen rubbing their faeces up against the windows of nightclubs, then they may as well be attractive Melbourne people. Exodus first gained huge notoriety in the international underground scene as a result of the tape trading community. By 1983, the band line-up included guitarist Rick Hunolt and bassist Rob McKillop and had inspired the likes of Metallica, Testament, Death Angel, and Vio-lence. Exodus’ debut, the immortal, must-have, undisputed thrash classic ‘Bonded By Blood’ was released and a vast tour with Slayer and Venom propelled the band into a household name. Eight albums later, Exodus still remain at the top of their game, and are on their way to smash Australian and New Zealand for their first headlining tour in these parts of the globe!

Todd Rundgren was hailed as a new pop-wunderkind, following the release of his paradigm shifting album ‘A Wizard, A True Star’ in 1973. A record light years ahead of its time with its intensely amusing and sometimes confusing mixture of totally out there tunes which sits easily next to all time classics like ‘Pet Sounds’ and ‘The White Album’. 37 years later, ‘Wizard’ continues to inspire legions of contemporaries from Hot Chip and Daft Punk to Simian Mobile Disco. Fans can expect to see the prog-rock innovator, guitar genius and consummate singer/songwriter take the stage and perform a range of songs from throughout his career in an infectious and dazzling performance, resplendent with Rundgren’s ever-irreverent and tongue-in-cheek schtick.

Play the music right and keep them coming back for more, no gimmicks no spin just pure entertainment and it continues to this day. The band has developed its own unique persona. It has never impersonated the characters and personalities of Led Zeppelin but chooses instead to just play the music and be themselves. Hungry Kids of Hungary are proud to announce the release of their much-anticipated debut album ‘Escapades’ along with a national tour to celebrate. Since winning the Triple j Unearthed competition 18 months ago, HKOH have toured with local artists such as Philadelphia Grand Jury, Washington, Bertie Blackman and Little Birdy as well as festival appearances at Falls, South Bound, Sunset Sounds, Woodford, One Movement and Valley Fiesta, to name a few. Early 2010 was spent abroad with a jaunt to the States, as well as the UK where they delivered a stunning pair of sets at The Great Escape festival in Brighton. And now following the recent bout of sell-out shows on the Shady Haze of Winter tour, HKOH return to the road for their biggest headline tour yet!

Mouse on Mars are either completely unknown or praised to the skies, either reviled or revered. So it goes with pioneers, and Mouse on Mars are indeed nothing short of pioneers of electronic music. As such, they were the first to spread the word abroad about Germany’s booming electronic scene. And Mouse on Mars chalked up successes in England, Japan and the US. There, as in Germany, they surprised us by refusing to conform to the prevailing cliché of nerdy electro-tinkerers. Mouse on Mars did its part to blur the dividing lines between rock and dancefloor, between song and track: all of a sudden, “anything goes” was the watchword of a new generation of music.

They’re back! Hot on the heels of the sold out run of ‘Killjoy’ and ‘General Electric’ album shows comes news of Shihad’s national tour in support of ‘Ignite’ – their new album slated for a September 24th release through iconic rock label Roadrunner Records. Those in the know describe ‘Ignite’ as harkening back to many of the original raw elements of Shihad – the rumbling and slow spiralling heavy groove unfolding under the thick crackle of a duelling Telecaster and SG all underpinning Jon Toogood’s engaging vocal. Joining Shihad on the ‘Ignite’ tour to round out a smokin’ bill are Trial Kennedy and Black Devil Yard Boss (BDYB).

Civil Society is proud to announce the debut tour of San Francisco’s hazy garage‐pop slackers Girls. One of the hottest buzz bands of 2009, Girls burnt their place in the blogosphere with their care‐free brand of garage pop, melding the sunny Californian melodies of Brian Wilson, the angular guitar‐pop of Elvis Costello, and the grungey spirit of their D.I.Y contemporaries (Vivian Girls, Japandroids, Wavves). In 2009, Girls presented their highly‐anticipated debut, ‘Album’ (out now on Pod/Inertia).
